The worst and best for any of us are the moments of utter surrealism. For me those are the ones that detach me from the earth beneath my feet. This is when I learn to fly, each time a little more. Until one day I’ll sail off the cliff and glide away. But before I’ll be rescued over and over again by the kind souls floating by - the ones I have known for years and the ones I have only just met. Sean has not been home to Ireland in eight years. His back is bent whilst clasping the microphone. If only it was attached to a stand. The screen before him starts to boot, music sets in. She did not begin to love him anyhow. This was many years ago. Today two Belgians, an Icelandic and I stand in front of the house. This is an old people's home now. Stéfan, the Icelandic, closes with a faint smile. He has grown into a handsome man. The sun is shining so thoroughly that I forget how far North I actually...

In times of struggle it is vital to remember what makes the difference in life. What makes each of us unique. At the end of the day we might never figure it out. But we can feel it, we can sense when there is a change in perception across the room. When the eyes of the man standing in the corner light up because he watches you walk towards him. That is a shift. There may not be anybody else in that moment who feels it exactly as you do. Which in itself is all the more proof of love always being...
